Have You Accepted God's Free Gift ?

God loves you. He loves you and I so much..."that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16)." The problem is our sins separate us from Him.The Bible says in Romans 3:23, " For all of us have sinned and come short ot the glory of God." Therefore, we need to our sins forgiven, so we can experience God's love for us. This is done by answering the call of Jesus.

You must come to Him. Jesus said "Come." (Revelation 22:17)

You come by acknowledging that Jesus Christ is God's Son, and that He died on the cross, was buried, and rose the third day (I Corinthians 15:1-4).

By confessing your sins to Jesus Christ, you are accepting Christ's saving work on your behalf.

If you will admit that you have sinned and confess your sins, "God is faithful and true to His word and will forgive us and wash us clean from everything that we've ever done(1 John 1:9). " God offers you eternal life as a free gift, because of the shed blood of Jesus. Ephesians 2:8-9 says, "For by grace are you saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast."

You must receive this gift of salvation by asking Christ to be your Lord and Savior.

Will you ask Jesus Christ to save you? "For whosoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13)."   Once we are saved we realize we missed the mark of living without sin in our lives. That means there is a need to change our lives.

That is done through what the Bible calls "repenting."

In other words, we must chose to turn away from our sin. That means to change directions in your life. Instead of moving away from God, turn to Him. Jesus said, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand (Matthew 4:17)." This is now possible, because of Christ who has come to live within us.

If you have never accepted Jesus to be your Lord and Savior, we invite you to do so now. The Bible promises that when you pray a prayer like the one here from your heart, you will experience a new life in Christ.  Simply pray aloud and mean it from your heart heart.

Pray.

Heavenly Father, I come to you just as I am. There is nothing that I can do to earn your favor. I cannot work my way into a right relationship with You. The Bible says that we are saved by grace through faith as a gift from You. I confess that I have sinned against You and others. I ask You to forgive me and to wash me clean with the precious, life-giving blood of Jesus Christ. I believe that He died for me by taking my sin upon Himself. And I believe that He was raised from the dead, giving me power over the Devil.  Jesus, I ask you to come  live inside of me. I don't understand everything about being a Christian, but I invite You into my life to help me learn how I am to live. Thank You, Heavenly Father, for Your gift of restoration and eternal life. I am thankful for Your love and mercy. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Now that you have been saved, I encourage you publicly profess your faith. The Bible instructs us to be baptized.

Jesus came and touched them and said, "Arise, and do not be afraid." When they lifted up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only (Matthew 17: 7, 8).

All through the Bible, we are encouraged to rise above our circumstances!
